Devana is my small business project where I use local resources to create sustainable products, prioritizing the well-being of both people and the wilderness.
Just as we give our bodies the necessary nourishment, we must also nourish the natural world surrounding us, as without it, our own well-being will eventually become unattainable. Sustainability, or regenerability, involves ongoing nourishment.
We want to share our passion about promoting an awareness of the ingredients in the products we use, where they come from, and their impacts on our health and the health of the surrounding environment.
At the heart of Devana’s philosophy is the idea of nurturing both the environment and people that are local to oneself. We believe this can encourage decentralisation and strong, healthy communities.
To promote the development of sustainable and regenerative systems, we prioritize producing unique, non-mass-produced products. We adapt to the changing seasons and make products that are available based on what is locally abundant. By using our return parcel, or by coming to our shop, customers can refill their previous containers with the latest formulations, keeping in mind they may not be exactly the same as before.
Aligning with Devana’s pursuit of decentralisation, we use blockchain technology to store product information and facilitate sales. Customers have the ability to delete their information that we have stored on the blockchain if they choose.
